The Madcap Challenge is a video contest for all high school students in Morris County.
 
Your entry can be based on any subject matter that deals with Morris County Sheriff’s Crimestoppers Program.

The Winners


6 winners will be chosen. Each winner will receive $500 and will reproduce their commercials in a broadcast quality production facility to be aired on TV and other outlets around the county. In addition the 6 winners videos will be uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and other Social Media Outlets.
 
The winners will also be guests at the annual Crime Stoppers Fund Raiser, December 13th, 2010, where they will be presented with their awards. All Videos will be shown at the event on large screen displays throughout the facility.

 

Objective of your commercial:

 

To raise the awareness of your fellow students that there is help available when they see or become a victim of crime by using the anonymous tip line, anonymous website submission form or anonymous texting. Rewards are paid when the information leads to an arrest or indictment.

 

 Suggested Creative/Theme Direction

 

The following are suggestions. You are not limited to these suggestions, but the subject matter or theme should be based on information that could be submitted to Crime Stoppers using the anonymous tip line, web site submission form or anonymous texting.

 

  • Drugs

  • Threats to an individual or threats to your school

  • Vandalism

  • Gang Activity

  • Guns in your school

  • Thefts

All entries will be voted on creative content. Technical quality will not affect the voting.

Technical Requirements


All videos submitted must be 29.5 seconds in length.
Formatted in the Windows Media file format .wmf and/or playable on the Windows Media Player.

You may also attach a LINK form YouTube, Vimeo, etc. in your email.

 PLEASE NOTE: A submission form/model release MUST be filled out for every person participating or is recognizable in your finished video.
 
 Finished Video Commercials should be emailed to Madcapchallenge@gmail.com and clearly marked with the name of the submitter.
 You may also attach a LINK form YouTube, Vimeo, etc. in your email.
It’s important to note that if any of the required submission information or video format information is incomplete or not correct you will be disqualified without notice.
