6031 - Stolen Motorcycle, Dover

On Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at approximately 10:15 AM Dover Police are investigating a report of a stolen motorcycle at Tony’s Towing at 228 East Blackwell Street in Dover. On September 12, 2006 the motorcycle was reported stolen in Mount Olive Township and was later recovered in Dover. The motorcycle was transported and stored at the police impound located at Tony’s Towing. Sometime between Tuesday, September 12th at 630 PM and Wednesday September 13th at 1015 AM, an unknown suspect had cut the fence to the police impound lot and stole a 2003 Silver Kawasaki ZX6R Motorcycle NJ License 2233W.

6030- Robbery in Randolph

On Thursday evening, October 12th, the Randolph Police Department received a report of an armed robbery at the Gulf Gas Station located on the corner of Dover Chester Rd. and Park Ave. near the Chester Township border.

The gas station attendent working the afternoon shift called 911 at approximately 8:45pm to report that he had been approached by an arned gunman who robbed him of the afternoon proceeds. The gunman reportedly approached the attendant while he was near the attendant's booth. Upon the Police response it was learned that the gunman arrived and left on foot. The gunman was last seen heading towards Park Ave. The Randolph Police Department was assisted by the Morris County Sheriff's K-9 Unit in an effort to track the gunman. While searching the area for the gunman a resident on Lake Drive, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the Gulf Station reported seeing a male running through their backyard. The surrounding area was checked but the gunman was not located.

The gunman is described as; white male, ski mask, 6' tall, 180lbs., dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans.

The Randolph Police Department is requesting that if anyone has information or may have witnessed the incident to please contact the Randolph Township PD. The incident is being investigated by Det.
