6019-Arson in Denville

On Monday, June 12, at approximately 3pm the Denville Police Department responed to the Vocational Technical School for a fire alarm. There was in fact a fire in one of the mens bathrooms in building one. The Denville Fire Department responded and put the fire out. It was determined to be an arson and not an accidental fire. The Denville Police are looking for any information regarding this incident. All callers can remain anonymous. 6018- Lewdness in Denville

On Thursday, June 15 at approximately 4pm, there was a man exposing himself to people outside the Union Hill Starbucks on Rt. 10. The man was sitting outside the Starbucks with his back to the store with his legs spread wide open. He was dressed in small tight blue shorts and a bright colored tight top. His genitals were hanging out of his pants. And he was holding a white envelope in his hand. As men walked by he would cover himself with the envelope but as women and children walked by he would put the envelpoe aside and expose himself. The Denville Police Department is looking for anyone who saw this act to come forward. You can remain anonymous. 6017 - Arson, Morristown

On Friday May 26, 2006 at 3:17 am, the Morristown Police and Fire Departments responded to 20 Sussex Avenue, Morristown, NJ for a structure fire. Upon their arrival, they found heavy fire conditions in the occupied two-family residence. Responding police and fire fighters awoke the sleeping residents and safely evacuated all of the occupants of the building. Due to their quick actions, there were no injuries resulting from this fire. The fire caused heavy damage to the building before being extinguished by fire fighters from the Morristown and Cedar Knolls Fire Departments.


The investigation into the cause of the fire, conducted by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Arson/Environmental Crimes Function, Morristown Police and Fire Departments and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section revealed that the fire was intentionally set.
