On 12/24/84, a deceased newborn female was found in a stream located off of Mt. Pleasant Road, Mendham Township, NJ. The baby was found wrapped in towels inside a few garbage bags. The baby, a white female, was found to have its umbilical cord attached and was no more than one-day old.

An autopsy determined that the baby was alive at birth and died as a result of exposure to the elements or asphyxia as a result of being placed in the plastic bag.
